Your privacy and your personal data are important to us. Below is a summary of how we use your data, how we protect it, and how you can contact us about it.
We do not sell your data to third parties
If you have hired us to do a lighting design we may provide certain data, such as an address, email. etc, to a third party, such as a supplier or contractor, because it is necessary to do this for the project (such as providing your details so they can put it in on an invoice for goods you want to order). We will tell you if we do this. It is solely done for progressing the work we are doing for you, and is not for marketing purposes.
All our systems are encrypted. We have restricted access to all areas that the data is stored and company policies about what to do with that data. 2 years after a project has finished we will destroy that data. We keep it for that time period so that we can provide you with support, since sometimes information is needed.
For our own marketing purposes we would keep your name, email address and phone number. We may send you emails about our company and the services we provide, plus links to articles and projects we are working on.
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you've asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you're happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp's privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing info@mslightingdesign.co.uk
We work with Parrot PR and Media, who provide us with help for our marketing. They access our mailing lists and send out news letters. They do not copy or use this data for anything other than for MS Lighting Design's marketing (we are lighting experts, not marketing experts, so we work with them). We will store certain data about you when working with you. This will include the following:
Names, Phone Numbers, Home, Site and/or Office Addresses, Emails.
This is necessary for us to have since it enables us to work on the project. We will also store this information for up to two years after the project has finished to ensure we are able to support you in any way necessary. for any information on invoices these will be stored to ensure we comply with accountancy requirements.
Our website tracks IP addresses as part of its template and services. We do not analyse this data beyond knowing how many people visit the site and from what areas. This is not linked to your personal data.
You can inquire at any time to ask for what data we hold on you. We will come back to you within a month with a response. We will provide you with a list of the personal data we hold on you.
You can request that we delete this data. We will delete everything that we can an do not need, but in certain cases we are required to hold it (such as an address and name on an invoice) and we will tell you what we are not deleting and why.
